Why should I care about Human Design?

Why should I get a Human Design Chart reading?

I could go on about the complicated details of Human Design. Tell you all about how it’s the love child of astrology and quantum physics (and synthesizes seven or more ancient and modern traditions). Try to impress you with jargon I had to learn like crystalline consciousness and subatomic particles called neutrinos.

Or I could tell you what using Human Design in my own life over the last 5 years has meant to me. I’ve always been obsessed with tools of self discovery. I never met a quiz in the back of a Cosmo I wouldn’t take. I know my Sun/Moon/Rising, Enneagram, Myers-Briggs and StrengthsFinder. What topping for toasted bread am I Buzzfeed? Well now I need to know! But I never knew a more powerful tool of self discovery, that applies across my personal life, my career, or my relationships the way Human Design does. The first time I saw my Human Design Chart I felt like *I* was the one being seen. In Human Design terms, I am a Manifestor with Emotional Authority and a 4/1 profile. Which basically means that I am a trailblazer who needs 24 hours to make decisions and I'm here to learn and then get that wisdom out to my

network, and to be an example for others that life does not have to be hard. Manifestors are only 8-9% of the population, and people with a 4/1 profile make up only 2-3% of the population, so to say I'm unique is a bit of an understatement! And whoa buddy, do I feel that.

All the times people told me to “just go with your gut” while I felt like it was an often unreliable guide? Turns out that advice is true for some HD types, but not me. I spent the first 28 years of my life trying to be everyone’s cup of tea, wondering why some people just seemed to not vibe with me no matter how hard I tried. Then I read that Manifestors have a “repelling aura”, a gift from the Universe meant to filter out everyone hellbent on misunderstanding you so you don’t have to spend all your precious energy explaining yourself to the wrong people.

Human Design was my permission slip to be my authentic self. The “too muchness” I spent my life stuffing down from conditioning of teachers and boyfriends? I let that shit run wild! And do you know what happened? I attracted my dream friends and clients, became a better partner to my husband, and thrived in my business. I learned how to rest when I need it, and to recognize the need before getting to the point of burnout. I learned how I’m designed to make decisions, and to trust that if an opportunity won’t wait for me to ride out my emotional wave to find clarity, then it’s not the right opportunity for me.

In an age where it’s so easy to compare yourself to millions of people with a swipe of your finger, and fill your brains with “shoulds”, Human Design lets you know that you are exactly who and where you’re supposed to be!
